Install wizard

First boot is driven by the browser. When storage/installed.lock is missing, the site redirects to /install/.

Before you open the wizard

1. Upload and unpack the ZIP on the server.
2. Create an empty MySQL database + user with full rights on that DB.
3. Configure TLS reverse proxy to the app entry (proxy → frontend/API/install ports as shipped).
4. Start the install process (PM2 app for install/server.mjs) and proxy.
5. Open https://your-domain.com/install/ — not localhost (Host must be the public name).

Step 1 — System check

Validates Node, npm, mysql client, unzip, write permissions, and package files (VERSION, manifest.json). Fix any red items, then Continue.

Step 2 — Database

• Enter MySQL host, port, user, password, database name, and internal backend port.
• Site URL and License hub URL are not editable: Site URL comes from the browser address / proxy Host; hub is always https://cryptogameplace.com.
• Installer writes backend/.env, frontend site URL env, runs Prisma migrate, then applies additive SQL patches under sql/.

Step 3 — License & package

• Enter license key, chain (EVM/Solana), and admin wallet.
• Installer activates against the hub for the current hostname and stores license state + stamp.
• Package integrity is verified against VERSION / manifest.

Step 4 — Install & build

• Runs npm install --include=dev for backend and frontend (devDependencies required for Nest CLI / build tools).
• Then prisma generate, backend npm run build, frontend npm run build.
• This can take several minutes. Keep the tab open; the log streams in the UI.

Step 5 — Done

• Writes storage/installed.lock.
• Restarts app processes; removes install/ from the server.
• Open the site root and sign in with the licensed wallet.
